Apollo appoints new Engineering Manager

Capitalising on our sustained growth in our Marine and Offshore business unit, we are delighted to announce we have appointed Mr James Rees to the role of Engineering Manager.

James brings more than 11 years’ experience to Apollo’s renewables, drilling and marine operations, where he will oversee day to day operations of the marine and offshore business unit, and provide expertise in the effective delivery of offshore drilling projects.

Most recently a project manager for international drilling contractor KCA Deutag, James brings a breadth of wider industry experience having previously held roles in asset management and operations support engineering. Away from the energy industry, James also spent time as a discipline stress analysis engineer working in aviation design.

Commenting on his recent appointment James said, “It is great to be part of Apollo and help drive growth across its oil and gas, marine and renewables portfolio. I’m really excited about the opportunity and can’t wait to properly start supporting clients across multiple sectors.”

This appointment cements our commitment to supporting our oil and gas and drilling clients and driving the energy transition.

Nigel Robinson, our Marine and Offshore Director added, “I am delighted to welcome James to the team. He brings excellent experience of drilling asset projects, which boosts our capabilities in this important business area and reflects our ongoing commitment to marine and drilling clients.”
